Job Description: Concert Staff in HU18

Carer Agency, a leading local recruitment specialist for the HU18 region, is partnering with a premier event management company to staff a series of high-profile concerts and festivals this season. We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our team of Concert Staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the dynamic events industry, work in a fast-paced team environment, and earn competitive pay with immediate starts available.

Whether you're a student looking for summer work, someone seeking a career change into events, or simply want flexible temporary employment, this role offers variety and excitement. As a trusted agency, we handle all the admin, ensure you get paid correctly and on time, and provide support throughout your assignment. Just like we connect skilled Professional Cleaners in London with top clients, we expertly match event staff with the right roles. We also provide similar urgent staffing solutions for roles like an Urgent Health Safety Role in NR28 or specialised Bookkeeper positions, ensuring every candidate finds the right fit.

Key Responsibilities & Daily Tasks

  • Audience Services & Stewarding: Managing crowd flow, checking tickets, directing attendees to seats, exits, and facilities. Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, answering queries, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Backstage & Logistics Support: Assisting with the movement of equipment, helping artists and crew, managing dressing rooms, and supporting the stage management team. This may involve light manual handling and requires a proactive attitude.
  • Vendor & Hospitality Assistance: Supporting food and beverage stalls, merchandise stands, and VIP areas. Handling cashless payments, stock replenishment, and maintaining clean and organised service points.
  • Site Preparation & Breakdown: Involved in the setup before the event (placing barriers, signage, fencing) and the efficient breakdown and clean-up after the event concludes, ensuring the venue is left in good condition.
  • Safety & Security Vigilance: Acting as the eyes and ears on the ground, reporting any issues, potential hazards, or security concerns promptly to supervisors or control rooms. Assisting in emergency evacuation procedures if required.

Essential Requirements & Skills

⚠️ No prior event experience is necessary for entry-level roles! We provide full training. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are the most important assets.

  • Personality & Approach

Outgoing, friendly, and confident in dealing with the public. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Team player with a strong work ethic.

  • Physical & Logistical

Ability to stand for long periods (up to 10 hours), work outdoors in all weathers, and perform light manual tasks. Must be over 18. Reliable transport to/from the HU18 venue is essential.

  • Availability & Flexibility

Must be available for shift work including evenings, weekends, and late nights. Dates are fixed, so commitment to the full event schedule is required for the role.

  • Compliance & Safety

A clean background check may be required for certain positions. A keen awareness of health and safety principles is a strong advantage.
