What specific industry is this Life Science role in?
While the client's specific sector is confirmed upon application to protect commercial sensitivity, this Life Science in EH16 role is with a leading organisation in one of several high-growth areas: pharmaceutical development, biotechnology research, medical diagnostics, or environmental analysis. Your dedicated Carer Agency consultant will provide full details of the company and project scope during your initial screening to ensure it aligns with your expertise and career interests.
Is previous experience in a GLP/GMP environment mandatory?
Experience working under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines is a significant advantage and is highly sought after by our client. It demonstrates an understanding of the rigorous quality and compliance standards required in regulated scientific work. However, candidates with strong core laboratory skills and a proven ability to adhere to strict protocols will also be considered, as training on specific quality systems may be provided.
What are the typical shift patterns for this role?
This position primarily follows a standard Monday-to-Friday daytime schedule, typically between 9 AM and 5:30 PM. However, some flexibility may be required to accommodate specific experiment timelines or project deadlines. For candidates seeking different hours, we encourage you to explore our Find Work portal, which lists a variety of shift patterns across different sectors, including roles with the urgency of Urgent Drone Delivery Manager Jobs in S71.
How does Carer Agency support my career beyond this temporary role?
Our support is ongoing. Once you register with Carer Agency, you become part of our talent network. Your consultant will proactively match you with new opportunities that suit your skills as they arise, whether in life sciences or adjacent fields. Are there opportunities for permanent employment after the temporary period?
Absolutely. This position is advertised as temporary with a strong potential for temp-to-perm transition. Many of our clients use temporary assignments as an extended interview process to assess cultural fit and technical capability. Performing well in this role significantly increases your chances of being offered a permanent position. This pathway is common across our placements, similar to how we operate for Healthcare Staffing in London, where temporary roles often lead to substantive contracts.
What safety protocols are in place, especially post-pandemic?
The client maintains stringent health and safety protocols that exceed standard requirements. This includes comprehensive COSHH assessments, mandatory PPE provision, enhanced laboratory cleaning regimes, and clear procedures for handling biological materials. The role demands a safety-first mentality, akin to the standards expected of a Warehouse Safety Coordinator in Stockport, SK15. You will receive full, site-specific induction training before commencing any work to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
