Key Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting Laboratory Work

  • Preparing, setting up, and running laboratory experiments under the supervision of senior scientists or researchers.
  • Measuring and analyzing chemical, biological, or physical properties of samples using advanced lab instruments.
  • Accurately recording data, observations, and findings during experiments.

2. Maintenance and Safety in the Laboratory

  • Monitoring and enforcing strict adherence to health, safety, and cleanliness protocols in the laboratory.
  • Handling, storing, and disposing of chemicals or biological materials according to regulatory guidelines.

3. Inventory and Documentation

  • Managing stock levels of laboratory materials—including chemicals, reagents, and equipment—and placing orders when necessary.
  • Keeping detailed and accurate records of all laboratory procedures and findings for reporting and documentation purposes.

4. Collaboration and Communication

  • Working closely with senior scientists and researchers to support their projects and experiments.
  • Assisting in training new staff or interns on laboratory techniques and safety protocols when required.
  • Providing regular updates to management about ongoing experiments and lab operations.

5. Research and Development Support

  • Reviewing experimental data to ensure its quality and reliability.
  • Supporting research programs by testing new methodologies or running pilot experiments to validate hypotheses.

  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment and procedures, including familiarity with advanced instrumentation (e.g., spectrophotometers, centrifuges, and chromatography systems).
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to accurately record results and follow protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with scientific teams.
  • Proficiency with data entry and management tools, especially in documenting experimental results.

Desirable Qualities
